Passing the Torch

The member moved on with an election:  Lynne Railsback - president, Charlene Riffer - treasurer, and Ann Lesciotto, secretary. In May, members voted past presidents remain as honorary members.

Member decided on a bookplate personalized in memory of Barbara Papamarcos and purchase of book for Chicago Botanic Garden, English Bluebells, $100.

In February, several members visited Barbara Turner at her home after the meeting.

Workshops continued in July with a vellum workshop by Denise Walser-Kholar. There was no fee, $25 for vellum and a comprehensive write-up re properties of vellum.

August was the farewell party for Derek and Ursel Norman, at Barbara Klaas’ home.

The group moved forward with another outing in September - a paint-out at Williams Bay, WI. Some members attended the ASBA Conference in Colorado. The year ended in December with the Holiday party at Sue Widell’s home.
